Financial Resources

  • Maui Relief TANF Program - Online applications will open on Friday Oct 20th - Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc.
    • Housing- up to $4,000 for a deposit and up to $4,000 per month for up to 4 months
    • Reliable automobile down payment up to $5,000 and monthly payment of up to $500 or 4 months
    • One-time utility deposit up to $2,000 and combined utility payments for up to 4 months not to exceed $750
    • Clothing allowance up to $350 per dependent child under age 18 and $500 per dependent child 18 and older and each eligible adult in the family unit
    • School supply allowance $300 for each eligible school-aged child.

  • Preschool Open Doors | Patch Hawaii
    • The POD program helps eligible Hawaii families pay preschool fees for up to one year during the year prior to kindergarten entry. For more information about POD, call (808) 791-2130 on Oahu, or toll free from the neighbor islands at (800) 746-5620.

Kids Hurt Too Hawaii Support & Community

  • Based in Hawaii, Kids Hurt Too Hawaii offers children’s bereavement support on the island of Oahu, but has expanded their efforts to support Maui keiki and families. They host support groups for both the keiki and family members, community building events and more. Piko Therapy

Piko Therapy Hawaiʻi is a Marriage and Family Therapy practice located in Hawaiʻi. We help women and children navigate the stress and overwhelm of difficult life transitions by providing trauma-informed, body-based psychotherapy through a cultural lens.

The Parent Line

CFS administers The Parent Line, a free statewide confidential telephone line funded by the Hawaii State Department of Health. Experienced phone line staff help parents to problem solve parenting challenges and child adolescent behavior and are available to help parents learn ways to manage the strong emotions that come with trauma.

Mana Mental Health (Pregnancy & Postpartum)

Mana Mental Health is offering FREE individual counseling sessions for mamas who are pregnant or postpartum. All sessions are virtual or by phone-all for all islands. Sessions are conducted with Dr. Kalena Lanuza, Family & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner & Certified Lactation Counselor
