How long are the temporary dwelling unit allowed to remain on the property?

The temporary building permit allows the temporary dwelling unit to be initially granted for 180 calendar days (six months).  Extensions are intended to be granted upon written proof that the unit is occupied by a Wildfire survivor and provided that the Mayor’s Emergency Proclamation allowing temporary structures are in effect.  Please be advised that the structure shall not be occupied immediately upon the termination of permit or proclamation, whichever occurs first.  Please be further advised that the structure shall be removed within 180 calendar days from the termination of permit or proclamation, whichever occurs first.
