When real property is damaged or destroyed by a disaster, as defined in section 127A-2 Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, or because of floodwaters overflowing the banks or walls of a river or stream, the property may
qualify for real property tax relief per MCC 3.48.230.

The Maui Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is asking residents and businesses, including commercial properties, affected by the Kona Storm to report damages as soon as possible. Submitting a report helps the County and State understand the full extent of impacts and may support requests for federal assistance.

The Hawai‘i Department of Agriculture and Biosecurity is announcing the establishment of the Emergency Farmer Relief Program. Farmers and ranchers impacted by the recent storm systems may apply for a one-time grant of $1,500 to address immediate needs resulting from the storms.
Applications for the Emergency Farmer Relief Program will open on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Applicants who complete and submit applications by Friday, March 27, 2026 will be prioritized for funding.
