Brief Description:

This project will construct 240 new multifamily housing units on Front Street in Lahaina to replace housing lost in the 2023 Maui wildfires. The project will provide a mix of affordable and workforce housing to support Lahaina's long-term housing recovery.

Phase 1: Construction of 168 housing units, including 86 units reserved for households earning at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI).
Phase 2: Construction of 72 housing units, including 71 units reserved for households earning at or below 80% of AMI.

Milestones:

February 2026: Project conditionally awarded CDBG-DR funds
May 2026: Environmental Review initiated
June 2026: Project design underway
